Want A TATÚ?

Maybe you want some permanent skin art of your own, but you're afraid of the needle. Well, cower in fear, no more! The Miami-based artist - and designer behind the Cloak line of tees - Terrance Wilson, has an easy fix for you.

His TATÚ collection of graphical tees are meant to be a point where Art meets Fashion. According to his site, "TATÚ is an infrastructure of images and messages. It's a web of intricate details that represents the inner workings of CLOAK. It is both technical and organic. Forms morph into each other to create a larger form, like a continuous dream."

This brand first popped onto my radar a while back, when I read about their efforts to send post-natural disaster aid to Haiti. I must admit, though, I much preferred the direction of their debut "The Ordinary Need Not Apply" Campaign...

The simplicity of those original T-Shirts struck a chord with me, whereas this current set reminds me a bit of all the other T-Shirt folks who design in the rocker/biker chic vein of Afflicted & Audigier. Not my personal vibe, really.

But, that's just me. After all is said - or written - I think TATÚ is still worth a look-see!
