Seems like someone was listening to my rants on their FB page! Or maybe they just realized it was about time they updated their crummy webspace. Whatever the reason, the Trini fashion folk posted the new Fashion Week Trinidad & Tobago (FWTT) site online, and I daresay, it looks good!
Layout/photography is clean and refreshing, and the overall image is one of professionalism. I'm definitely loving the gallery of images from the debut event last year, and I appreciate having some 'about-us' info, regarding the ethos of the event, etc.
But you know, there's always one or two little things that could upset the whole love-fest - after all, we live in an imperfect world! If you look on the site's 'schedule' page, you'll see that more than 15 designers are supposed to be showing at the event.
So why, pray tell, are there only six designers 'featured' on the Designer page? Doesn't the comittee think that interested persons who aren't famaliar with the designs of , say, Boy Boy (who's showing on Monday 1st June) would also want to see some illustrations or images from that designer, along with those already posted from Meiling, Radical Designs, Ecliff Elie and the others?
Or is it that the six who are featured are more noteworthy than the rest? Probably, they were the only ones to provide back images for their profiles! I dunno, but FWTT should sort that out, ASAP. Maybe put an 'other designers comming soon' note, or something...
