There isn't a nook or cranny in this world that you can visit these days without seeing folks sporting a slogan tee. Popular since the 60's I'd say, slogan tees are right up there with cockroaches when it comes to 'things that will outlast time'! During the flower power era in the US, I guess the popular slogans were 'give peace a chance' 'lets get high' 'black is back' and stuff like that. In the 70's, the talking chests said 'black power' 'fight the power' and other revolution-worthy things. Every country, decade, and age group has its standout slogan tees that were as much of a cultural and personal statement as they were fashion statements. Our Caribbean slogan tees are more unique to our regional experiences, and yet I believe that their humor & messages won't be too obscure for all to appreciate. Check out some of my favourites - Some I've only just stumbled across, and others I've been wearing for years...
Hope they speak to you!
