International Fare, Caribbean Flair.

There's not much I can say about the obvious talent of international fashion designers Oscar de la Renta & Michael Kors that hasn't been said before. However, I will say that some of the pieces from their respective Resort 2008 Collections are absolutely perfect for traipsing about Jamaica, Dominica, Tortola, Turks & Cacois or wherever else you may be heading (or residing, for that matter.) Tastefully mixing the usual vacation wear with fine tailoring, luxe materials and fruit punch colours, de la Renta & Kors delivers clothing for the Caribbean Queen who knows fully well that she's an island girl, but doesn't want to appear like a tacky "welcome to the islands" hostess! Vacationers take note, you don't want to end up looking like that aisy-faisy cliche, either... The designers couldn't have been more different from each other; Oscar's native Dominican Republic flavour shines through nicely in his work, whilst Kors' Chic Americana outlook presents another image of resort & island life. And yet the pieces from the collections both are equally suited to the good life. Some of the selections are indeed more practical for lounging on a private beach or at a seaside party, but the majority are just right for island nights, day time truants, or whatever other happenings you might find yourself at.

Mix and match the pieces, and let the more flamboyant ones speak for themselves.
