Coskel Cafe offers up wearable sweet treats

I'm a notorious snack fiend, so I instantly warmed up to this idea when I first heard about it from Coskel's founder, Xolani Heylon.

Coskel Cafe, a diffusion jewelry line from the creators of the popular Trini Culture streetwear brand, Coskel University, is a quirky-cool collection of yummy delights and sweet, eye candy accessories that are sure to elicit coos of "awww! How cute!" whenever you wear them around the way.

The Coskel folks haven't listed the price points for the pieces as yet, but judging from their demographic and general price range, I'd say you have nothing to worry about. Besides purchasing one too many ice cream chains or cookie pendants.

Introducing CUJeans by Coskel University

I love that Coskel University does vintage, without being dated.

The young sportswear line melds the DNA of the ole time Trinidadian days with modern structures, creating a fresh and graphical look that appeals to the masses.

Partners in life and in art, Trinidadian Xolani & Japanese artist Machi has extended their Coskel offerings by delivering on their promise to introduce an extended line of jeans and casual wear.

Inspired by the aesthetic of the culture, the natty CU Jeans Spring/Summer 09 set features tees, vests, jackets, cardies and jeans smattered with their logo, an interpretation of the Trinidad Coat of Arms, and other kitschy localisms, like 'Z is for Zaboca'

By the way, a 'Zaboca' is the Trini word for 'avocado.'
