Mimeki Bags are back online!

Seems like there's something about Miami-Based, Jamaican Designers that makes them crank out some of the coolest handbags!

Rochelle Thwaites is definitely one such designer; her Mimeki Bags always well-constructed and timeless, and her classic satchels are hits with the celeb set and discerning fashion folks alike....

So it was a sad day to see Mimeki close down their website some months ago, with no word as to whether or not they were closing down the brand, too.

But they're back, with a sleek, clean, and easy-to-navigate website! And with some chic new designs in tow! I'm loving the fun, hummingbird tote shown above - check out the site for more info.

Callaloo Shoppe Purses - Me Likey!

Aren't these 'baguettes' sweet!

From the play on a classic Fendi purse shape, to the fact that it's made out of straw and features lil brown-skin cuties on each one, these Straw Baguettes from the Jamaican boutique 'Callaloo by Elisso ltd.' are must-haves.

The Negril boutique was opened by French fashion-lover Anne Sophie Eyssautier who proudly boasts that "all the products are 100% made in Jamaica!" Callaloo Boutique features a range of clothing and accessories for women and kids, and also carries a few items for the home.

But out of all the chic island items features, these purses are the stand outs. I see these being versatile enough to be worn with cool skinny jeans, sharp strappy heels and a shimmery, asymmetrical blouse. Thanks to the folks at popstylejamaica.com for putting out the word on this cool boutique!
