Disregard my post about what I want for Christmas - I only want a Boscoe Holder original instead!
The folks at 101 Art Gallery in Trinidad have always had a close relationship with the late artist and his widowed wife and muse, Sheila Holder; since Holder's passing in April 2007, the gallery has organized showings of some rare works.
This weekend's showing - 'From the Studio' - at 101 Art Gallery featured some fantastic finds like the untitled portrait above, and some other signed and unsigned, 'works in process' pieces.
The price points are actually very reasonable for an artist of Holder's caliber; if you wanted, you could secure a fine piece for anywhere between $250.00 USD & $2500.00 USD.
