All I want for Christmas - 'Au Courant' gift list 08

What do I want for Christmas? Like every good Ms. Universe contestant, I want World Peace - and maybe World Economic Stability, too - along with sugar and spice and everything nice.

But with people either feeling the pinch of tightened purse strings or the terror of financial collapse, I decided to whip out the C³ formula for heartwarming and delightful gifts that are Crave-worthy, Chic and yet Cheap.

They'll still incite those "I want it now" pangs, and will thrill those whom you're gifting, but will spare you the after Christmas money woes. At times like these, it's our responsibility to not only be financially smart, but to keep on living with as much of the usual cheer and style that we can muster.

• Celeb Makeup Artistry from Mally Roncal - Well, if you happen to be in league with some divalicious superstar like Beyonce or Celine Dion, chances are that having Ms. Roncal do your makeup is no biggie.
