The woman who wears Etro probably has a penchant for getaways to far flung locales. Maybe she loves to frequent each and every ethnic fair and trinket shop, looking out for a unique find. She definitely doesn't mind being the center of attention and has the vivacious, yet laid back personality to radiate energy through those punchy brights and kaleidoscopic prints. Or maybe, she's just a regular style lover who identifies with such a person!
Etro - the boho fave of the 80's - is one of those brands that doesn't hit you over the head with logos and over zealous branding. Developed by its founder Giacomo Etro as an extension of the textile house he created in 1968, the brand is synonymous with ease and effortless style. The luxury quotient comes through the careful fabric choices and dazzling colour washes & prints. Giacomo may have been Italian, but his inspirations often came from his travels to exotic spots around the world. These are the flowy dresses that are ideal for making a stunning entrance at one of those evening time Carnival All Inclusives or poolside affairs that are all the rage across the region - the colours will fit in well amongst the bourgainvillas, hibiscuses, and ferns. And
just imagine how superb you'll look against the Caribbean sunset! Check out my picks from the Spring 08 Etro colleciton. (Pics courtesy Style.com)
