My husband - who's a Howard University alum in every sense - upon hearing the results of the U.S. elections proclaimed that "according to the Constitution of the U.S., a Black person was 3/5ths of a human - now the same 3/5th of a human is the President of the US... Fantastic!!!"
Style doesn't really matter at a time like this, but I will be wearing this tee for a long time to come, because President Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States is THE man!
I am not American, but as an Afro-Caribbean person living in the U.S., I feel the shining strength of the Afro-American, nay AMERICAN community as they look to the President Elect and see a beacon of hope and progress, recognizing the fulfillment of a promise that was dreamed of, decades ago.
