Feeling Blue?

You know all those people who go through their figurative or true-life 'blue periods?' People like Picasso (most noteably,) all the EMO folks, those who're into colour theory (blue is the colour of communication, and it supposedly wards off evil, too,) my friend who named her sweet lil girl Blue Joy... I'm not one of them

Being more of a Heather Grey kinda gal myself - no, really, I've got at least 20-30 pieces of clothing in the same, gym-class ready shade! - I was duly surprised when I couldn't stop staring at this blue-toned painting by British Virgin Islands (by way of the UK) artist, ShayGon .

This 'Swell up yuh Face' painting from the MaCuMere series is simple - almost austere - and for some reason, the faceless, musing figure draws me into her contemplations. What's vexing her? Why is she in put in the corner, like Dirty Dancing's Baby? Where did she get that fab dress from?! Check the artist's store for other paintings, and maybe you'll find the answers to the questions...
