Ecoist - I Adore... 'Mil Amore'

You know when I love a piece, I can come up with zillions of reasons to spread the word on it: sometimes those reasons are purely superficial; other times, they're based on sound observations. Reasons to love this new Ecoist satchel?

  1. They're made by hand, often by Fair Trade workers in Mexico & Peru. Workers who more than deserve an honest opportunity to earn a living.
  2. They're made from recycled, disposed candy and snack wrappers - sweet!
  3. 'Mil Amore,' the Spanish nickname of the Centranus garden flower, loosely translates to mean '1000 loves!'
And I couldn't resist; after all, we have to admit that Fashion is indeed obsessed with the superficial. So, you want a reason #4? Doesn't it look like a sleek, stylish piece of Origami arm-candy?

8th Day of Christmas - Recycled Style

Made entirely from recycled candy wrappers - save for the zip, plastic wrist handle, and the inner cotton lining - this chic purse from Ecoist neatly proves that the green lifestyle is far more than droll hemp pouches and patchouli incense sticks.

The 'Confetti' hand folded, candy-wrapper wristlet (shown above) gives just enough of a colour burst that'll surely blend nicely with any outfit you could possibly throw together, and its sleek finish works from day to night.

It's the kind of gift that's bound to sweeten up the sourpuss in your life. Get it on sale right now for a for a cool $28.00.
