Whilst the fashion set has been all agog about the rumored final Lacroix collection (I admit, it was smashing) I've been in Christian Dior heaven, wishing I had a obscenely wealthy Grandpappy to front me the cash to get one of the creations above.
The showing was all about going back to the House basics; note the ladylike makeup, fascinator hats (so chic!) cinched, wasp-effect waist, and hints of the New Look skirts, albeit with a touch less fabric in some incarnations.
Most folks are loving Chanel Iman in the magenta/purple embroidered jacket and garters, but my dream piece is the Sophia Loren-esque leopard print dress. Isn't it just divine?
