The amount of different Fashion Weeks across the region is becoming mind boggling - geez! I can't possibly attend them all; it sincerely feels as if every other island is throwing together a fashion week, every other month.
The V.I. Fashion Week: Caribbean Catwalk 2008, is attempting to ritz-it-out by inviting some 'formers'. They're bringing Zulema Charles, an ex-model and past Project Runway contestant to be part of the show, along with their apparent 'face' of the promotion, former America's Next Top Model contestant, Bianca Golden.
It's a five day affair that's focusing on - you guessed it - 'promoting upcoming Caribbean designers'. Yadda Yadda Yadda.
Here's a suggestion to ALL these Fashion Week organizers: why not focus on helping these emerging designers to focus their talents on promoting their lines not just for the Fashion Week, but afterwards, too?
