A Material Girl's Textile Love, pt2 - Harlem Toile

I so need a roll or two of this Harlem Toile de Jouy wallpaper! Dreamed up by Interior Designer Sheila Bridges, the wallpaper re-imagines the traditional, pastoral scenes of Toile, in such a refreshing way.

If you look closely, you'd see that as opposed to the usual, 'Royal Court Approved' Ladies-in-Waiting, the figures that frolic in on the Harlem Toile are black! Notice homeboy playing a fierce game of basketball, up in the top left hand corner.

Bridges has often said that her hope was to create interiors that reflect one's cultural heritage in an unexplored manner.

It's about time, oui?
