Introducing: Summer Sizzle B.V.I.

I just received word about the Summer Sizzle fashion event, slated for July 23rd - 26th on Tortola, in the British Virgin Islands (B.V.I.)

Seems to be a new event on the scene, but according to the event organizer Terry Donovan, it's supposed to be a vibrant party/fashion scene. “Well there's the Culture & Style Welcome Bash on Thursday, followed by the White Sunset Fashion Fete at dusk on Friday, hosted and Co-sponsored by Lambert Beach Resort. Saturday night, of course, belongs to our gala event, the Summer Sizzle Fashion Show and After Party," he says.

Apparently, the whole concept of the Summer Sizzle Fashion Show is supposed to reflect the excitement of a New York City runway, a la a touch of the Big Apple in the BVI.

The team is promising fashion showings from Baby Phat/Phat Farm, Project Runway finalist Korto Momulu, Trinidad’s Claudia Pegus, American eveningwear designer Cesar Galindo, menswear designer Edwing D’Angelo, NY label Aqua Couture by Roger Gary, menswear designer Ocie Collins III, Andre Etienne of St. Thomas, and the B.V.I’s own Trefle Designs by Kristin Frazer.
