Grace Jones brings the "Hurricane"

Grace Jones.

She frightens me, you know. Stacked like a thoroughbred and able to switch between vampy, androgynous, otherworldly and punky in no time flat, this Jamaican Fashion and Popculture Icon is slinking back into the spotlight with a new album and yards of spunk to spare. Art icon Andy Warhol told her she'd never make it without toning down her look, but here she is, still enduring.

Produced by Jones and Ivor Guest, and containing tracks featuring Sly & Robbie and Brian Eno, "Hurricane" apparently signals the return of the 'Amazing Grace', according to London's Guardian Newspaper. This will be her first studio album in TWENTY YEARS people, and will drop around October 27th in the UK.

It seems the years haven't diminished her edgy stage tricks; the woman who was once called "Socially Sick" on the Grant Junior High School Report previewed four new tracks - in a damn bustier and thong combo - from the forthcoming album, including "Corporate Cannibal," during a very well-received performance on June 19th at the Meltdown festival on London's South Bank.

The Corporate Cannibal track is... different. But then again, 'different' is synonymous with 'Grace Jones'. Enjoy...
