Admittedly, I had to rewind, fast-forward, and pause my DVR a zillion times before I was sure, but Synergy Supermodel past winner, Pearl Joseph, just starred in all of a 3 second clip in a model montage for the pre-finale of Project Runway!
It may seem like nothing - it's the kind of clip that you'd definitely miss if you blink - but the fact that she was in NYC at some point on a go-see suggests that she did indeed receive some level of a modeling contract upon winning the Trinidad & Tobago reality modeling competition.
This is good; if she can get into the Project Runway go-see, chances are she can get into other, more industry-standard model calls for contemporary design companies. And it also means that Synergy TV might have actually kept their end of the bargain by offering a legitimate prize package...
P.S. Thanks to all the readers who instantly emailed Au Courant last night, alerting me to this - you guys are the best!

That will be really major for her if can get her foot in the door, so to speak.
I think you are giving Synergy too much credit! These girls work really hard making the contacts, finding sponsors to handle the costs of their trips, pushing their name and "look" out there. If Pearl got to Fashion Week (Go Pearl!) she did it on her own steam.
I don't doubt you one bit! I'm sure she is probably working the circuit on her own... I was more speculating about Synergy's support, rather than crediting them for any advances she might make. But I get you, though. Go Pearl!
