First things first - apologies for the delay in posts. Second things second, I wasn't in Trinidad for Fashion Week (FWTT) so I've had to rely on general coverage. So I'll try to moderate my comments; it's not fair to make sweeping observations on an event that I didn't attend, right?
From all reports, the showings at the new location of the Hyatt Hotel in Port of Spain was an improvement from the debut staging under the 'tents' at Adam Smith Sq. Not a vast improvement - apparently parking/traffic was a tad out of control, and Media access was extremely limited - but an improvement, nonetheless.
There were some celebrity-ish appearances on the runway, notably the apearances of TV Supermodels McGee (from ANTM) and Sandhurst (the Trini guy from Make Me a Supermodel,) and from IMG development model, Michelene.
From the images I saw of the designs, I'm not sure if the actual 'fashion' at FWTT was as smashing as one would expect. I've skimmed through the collections of all the designers, and each seemed to put out a standard collection, in their own, personal aesthetic.
Overall, very 'safe' designs, nothing outstanding to ogle at.
But you judge for yourself. Click here, here, and here, for more info.

Attended FWTT, the final night was the best, been looking for pics everywhere. If you find them you'll change your perspective.
On the hunt for those same pics - If the designs look good (maybe I need a better look at the collections) I'll definitely post a retraction!
