There's a whole lot of who-ha about Rihanna in the press these days... But making her first major public appearance at the 2009 Costume Institute Ball since the brawl with Chris Brown (CB), there was little to no sign that she's buckling or even frazzling, under the pressure.
I mean, you have to possess some kinda courage under fire to rock that sleek & shiny Leg of Mutton Sleeve pantsuit! And to look uber-cool doing so? Good for you, Rihanna! Even the punky-cool gold streaks in the hair are powerful, and on-point.
In fact, I'm going as far as to say that her current 'Le Smoking-esque' suits and sharp silhouettes - along with those currently hidden gun tattoos - appears to be an orchestrated effort to create the image that she's cool and in control of her situation; I can understand why she'd feel the need to give that impression, though.
From innuendos regarding her friendship and recent vacation in Barbados with 'I Kissed a Girl' crooner, Katy Perry, rumors in LOOK magazine that she's now rebounding from the CB drama with Kanye West, and to reports on E! Weekend News that she may be hooking up with her Bajan ex, it feels as if Rihanna's in the middle of the tongue-wagging downpour that eventually rains in on every Celeb's parade.
But I guess it's as 'they' say: No press is bad press, right? And from the looks of things, I guess she can handle the deluge...
