Remember Mounia?

Pat Cleveland. Beverly Peele. Iman. The names of the top black models of yore are legendary ones, but oftentimes, people forget to add one more name to the group. Mounia.

The slinky beauty from Martinique who was the sometimes-muse and favourite model of the late designer, Yves st. Laurent from 1977 or thereabouts, is generally known as being the first major Haute Couture black model.

Since her YSL days, Mounia has shifted paths, moving into the artistic world as an International Singer & Painter. Here's a precious glimpse into the private relationship she shared with the designer and his celebrated team. Enjoy!
