Miss Bruno Reps Haiti in NYC

That's what you call some damn funky neck wear, man! Thanks to my allies across at The Lime for bringing this extremely stylish design line, Miss Bruno, to your attention.

Headed up by the siblings Marjory & Shirley Bruno, the unabashedly ethnic-inspired line references authentic Haitian, African and Caribbean prints and designs.

Utilizing natural materials and bold cotton prints in their pinafore-style dresses, peasant blouses and slightly structural separates, the Bruno sisters bring a familiar and yet refreshing aesthetic that hearkens back to the chic styles of those bold and strong apartheid era women.

The ladies most recently showed their line at the Brooklyn Fashion Weekend, and will also show at the Cape Africa Gallery in South Africa in 2009.

But right now the duo are displaying their unique scarf collection in a trunk show at Henri Bendel, 5th Ave. NYC, on Monday 22nd & Tuesday 23rd of December. Shown above are the uber cool Rupees & Yen & Peze Cafe scarves.

So if you're in Manhattan and you're looking for a hot neck piece, I recommend you check it out - I definitely will!
