The international fashion world has been marred for eons by its predilection to fairer skintones, bluer eyes and blonder hair on its top - and even mediocre - models, so the Nubian fashion-powers that be are once again ruffling their feathers on the 'white runway' issue for everyone to see.
Check out the 1st link below for a feature article with legendary model agent Bethann Hardison that came out in the latest issue of Vogue Italia; the powerhouse publication produced a full black-on-black issue of their magazine in support of the talks, only featuring top international black models on its covers and spreads.
Even though the issue is tackled from an international fashion standpoint, it's definitely worth a read, if only because we've got some fantastic afro-Caribbean models working the New York/Paris/Milan circuit, and definitely because these things sometimes influence how we operate in the region.
